We found these amazing charcoal drawings by Robert Longo (currently residing in Brooklyn, NY with his family) via Bauldoff a great blog by designer Joe Bauldoff. These drawings are truely amazing and would love to see them in real life sometime. A bunch of them are large format (see below some more drawings as well as an overview of some of his exhibits).

In the last decade, Alissia has exhibited work at the Salone del Mobile Milano, ICFF in New York, 100% Design Tokyo, Material Connexion New York and Victoria & Albert Museum in London among others. In 2010 Alissia Melka-Teichroew started teaching as a visiting professor at Pratt Institute in New York. After several lectures at schools around the USA over the last years as well as being invited as a guest lecturer and critic at schools like Rhode Island School of Design, Chicago Art Institute, Philadelphia University of the Arts and California College of Arts among others.

  1. i have followed robert longo from a distance for several years. gretchen is framed in my home. i recently gave the piece to my son, in new york. i now am actively seeking more information… exhibits, books, collections, etc. his work moves me. the pieces are edgy. real. contemporary. split second truth. please let me know more, and when a major exhibit will be in the states, hopefully in nyc. thank you very much, kelly gwin.
