The Neil Barrett store in Minami-Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan designed by Zaha Hadid opend recently. Personally I am not a big fan of Zaha Hadid, but I do enjoy this store. Actually I mostly enjoy the shelving system, that looks like layers of paper that are curling or peeling in an old book. The other interesting part are the two middle walls that look like two pieces of cardboard that are curling when you put them sideways against eachother.
Except for the middle piece, I feel like little has been done to incorporate the middle piece with the outer walls. Which makes the store less spectacular, but it’s definitely beautiful to look at.
